🍭 EVA 🍭

I groaned lightly as I stirred awake.

My head was hurting real bad and my throat was dried and I needed water badly.

I noticed I was lying on a big and comfy bed and when I darted my eyes around, it was an unfamiliar place.

I jolted up and my heart beat accelerated.

I became so scared.

Where am I?

Who brought me here?

I pondered in fright.

Suddenly, it occurred to me that I had suddenly passed out in an unknown street.

But who brought me here?

As I was about climbing down from the bed, the door creaked opened and a couple entered looking worried.

“Oh my God you’re awake!” The woman beamed and ran to hug me.

“Hey.” The man called softly with a smile.

“I was the one that saved you. I saw you unconscious on the street and I decided to bring you here.

Hope you don’t mind?” The man asked softly.

I sighed softly and shook my head negatively.

“What’s your name dear?” She asked and stared intently at me.

I only stared back at her without saying a word.

She looked at me surprisingly and had a confused countenance on.

“What’s your name and what were you doing lying unconscious on the street with your luggage?

Where were you headed at?” She rushed her words and stared curiously at me.

What I’m I supposed to do?

Should I talk or continue to pretend to be dumb?

Can I really trust them?

Should I lie about my name and my family?

I thought confusingly as I darted my eyes from the woman to the man.

I gestured my hand telling her I needed a book and pen.

She popped out her eyes surprisingly and looked utterly confused.

“You can’t talk?” She stuttered with a creased eyebrows.

I nodded my head negatively signifying a no.

“Alright. I’ll go get you a book and pen so you can write whatever you’re supposed to say,” The man said and walked out of the room.

“Seriously, you can’t talk? Like you’re dumb?” The woman asked in disbelief.

I rolled my eyes and didn’t reply.

The man walked in and gave me a small jotter and pen.

I took them from him and started scribbling down some words.

As I wrote on the jotter, they stole curious glances at me.

When I was done, I handed over the jotter to the woman since she’s closer to me.

She took the jotter from me and gave me a weird look before reading out the words.

“My name is Jenny Kenn and I was thrown out of the streets by my wicked aunt.

I was born dumb, I can’t talk.

My parents died before I was born and my aunt and her husband has been the ones catering for me.

They made it clear to me that I wasn’t their child.

They maltreated me and eventually, they sent me packing out of the house two days ago.

I don’t know where to go.

I have no family.” She read out while I stared blankly at her.

“Oh my God! I’m so sorry for your loss dear and for the horrible things you suffered in the hands of your wicked aunt and her husband.” The woman gasped tearfully.

“I’m really sorry dear.” The man said.

“And by the way, I’m Martha and this is my husband Castello.” The woman introduced with a smile while I just nodded.

“You know what? Since you don’t have anywhere to go like you wrote, you can start leaving with us.” Castello offered with a smile.

I stared surprisingly at him, stood up from the bed and ran to embrace him.

I felt so grateful.

They really seems nice.

I clapsed my hand in a way of gratitude after we disengaged from the hug.

“You welcome Jenny.” He smiled and patted my hair softly.

“You’re welcome to our home Jenny.” Ma’am Martha said and hugged me with a smile.

“These are my sons. Carlos here is my first son.” Sir Castello introduced pridefully and pointed at the tallest of the boy’s.

After I had drank water and rested a bit, ma’am Martha came to inform me that her husband wanted to introduce me to their two sons.

And so, we are in the sitting room with two cute looking boys sitting opposite me on the couch.

I took a quick glance at him and he looks very cute and manly.

He should be nothing less than twenty years old.

He’s handsome and looks like his mother.

He smiled lightly at me while I just nodded my head.

“And this is my second son and last child, Jonathan.” He smiled and gestured his hand towards the other cute guy.

He should be eighteen years old.

He’s cute too and looks like his father.

He smiled and waved lightly at me while I just bowed my head.

“And this is Jenny. She’s dumb and I found her unconscious on my way home from work.

And she’ll be living with us from now on because she has no where to go.” He added and pointed towards my direction.

I didn’t smile or look sad, just had a plain look.

In two years I’ve been alone, I have forgotten how to smile or how to even feel sad.

I just always have that plain look.

An expression that no one understands.

An expression that holds no emotion.

I wrote on the jotter sir Castello had given to me and raised it up so they could all see it.

“It’s nice meeting you.” I wrote while they smiled.

I hope they are as nice as they seem.

I hope they would take good care of me and not maltreat me.

I hope I would get along with the boys very well even if I don’t intend on making friends with any of them.

I just don’t want to be in any bad side of any of the family members so my stay can be long in the house.

Jonathan looked at my direction and our eyes met and he gave me a lewd wink.

How’s Eva’s { Jenny } stay gonna be with two boys around?

Are they gonna bond well or fight and jealousy will come in?
