πŸ˜’ Elo’s POV πŸ˜’

“What! The! Hell! Is! Going! On! Here!!.” I shouted really high, and the huge crowd of girls in front of me, freezed.

“Now, that everywhere is quiet, can someone explain the meaning of this, can someone explain what is going on here.” I ask no one and everyone in particular.

“Elo, you no do good at all oo, so you get this fine American Bobo for house and you no fit even at least, share am with us, small. You just want the whole packaging for yourself. E no good oo.” One of the village girl called Caro, says and I felt like throwning a stone at her, just imagine what she’s saying.

“I told you there was no need, for you to come out side.” Jake says, from behind me, and I was shocked at the way all the girls started screaming out, “I love you jake!!!!!!!!!.”

“You’re so handsome!!”

“What do you think about spending the night with me, handsome.” Someone yells from the crowd.

“Ehn, na who talk that thing right now, I said who said that.” I yelled out, tapping my legs on the floor, and all the girls shift a little bit to reveal, Angela.

“Agh, Angela I can finally see that the village witches playing ludo on your head, has finally succeeded ba.”

“No oo, it’s not like that Elo, is just that this your Bobo is really hot, omo his really fine, just borrow him to me, for one night, one night, ehn.” Ehh, Jesus, so this girl is talking, eh, see me see trouble oo, I looked around me in a haste and I saw a cutlass nearby, I picked it up and immediately all the girls ran back.

“Trouble, what are you doing, do you want to kill someone.” Jake asked shocked, trying to take the cutlass from me and I asked him, not to even dare come closer.

“Americana boy, leave am, make she slice all this useless girls, into two.” My mother says, coming out of the house, tying her wrapper well.

“Beatrice, what is wrong with you, how can you be advising your daughter, to commit murder, Elo keep that Cutlass down.” My father says, coming out of the house also.

“Elo, no mind your father oo, commot all of their head, if they try any rubbish.” My mum advice and i held the cutlass really tight, ready to slice anybody that tries to say any rubbish again.

“Ha! E never reach like that oo, Elo, we just want a taste of your handsome boyfriend, he’s just so…”

“Will you shut up, shut up before I slice you head off your body and use it to cook pepper soup, nonsense, it’s my boyfriend you want to have a taste of, infact all of you get out of my compound, before i decide to cut off all your heads.” I said raising the cutlass up, and all the girls started running.

“Hey!! Where, do all of you think you’re going.” I shouted and all the girls freezes immediately.

“But you were the one that asked us to leave na, I don’t want my head to be cut oo.” Caro says.

“You’re very mad, you must be very stupid, infact you’re mad, how can you come into my compound with gifts and then wants to leave my compound with it, you’re mad.”

“Ah! Elo we no go fit do that one oo, we bring all this gifts for Jake and since Jake can’t accept us, we are leaving with our gifts na.”

“Caro, waka, I say waka there, nonsense. See if you guys don’t drop all those gift ehn, shebi you all know me, even my boyfriend Jake calls me trouble, just try and leave this compound first without dropping all those gifts, you will see what I’ll do. “If you’ve drop your gifts, you can leave, ah! This girls una get money oo, mama this is a very costly watch oo.” I said, showing my mum the costly gold wrist watch.

“You dey see their life, and if you con ask them for money, they go say they no get oo, but they can buy wrist watch for man. Foolish idiots, erm Elo I think, this wan go fetch good amount of money, if you sell am oo.”

“I’m telling you mama, tommorow I’ll carry all these goodies to the market and sell them.”

“That’s a good idea, my pikin.” My mum concurs.

“Ha! I can’t believe the both of you.” My dad exclaims and walked back into the house.

“Don’t mind your father, come oo, I think there’s chocolate in this thing, Jesu, so I go chop chocolate today, come all this girls, you all should come back tommorow oo.” My mum shouts and I laughed out.

“If you like nod your head like agama lizard, and then go back there and do any how, Elo please I’m begging you, stay on your lane.”

“Papa I’ve heard you, we have to be on our way now, so we can get there on time.”

“Wait oo, una no fit go now na, let me pray for you guys.” My mother says walking into the sitting room.

“What did your mother said.” Jake asks me.

“It’s not really important, mama we will be on our way.” I said dragging my bag, and leading Jake and Co out of the house. Prayer were, abeg let her hold her prayers, America here I come again.
